HBS Africa conference puts Roland Berger on the map with decision-makers and US top students
This past weekend, Roland Berger was the Platinum sponsor of the Africa Business Conference at Harvard Business School.
This annual conference is the world's largest student-run event focused on business in Africa. This year the theme was, Africa Incorporated: Cultivating an Integrated Market". There were over 1,000 participants, with business professionals coming from all over Africa and students from all the top business schools in the US.
Roland Berger sent representatives from Europe, Africa and North America to the conference to connect with students and professionals who came to learn more about opportunities on the African continent. Some Roland Berger representatives participated in the panel about financial services in Africa while others helped with student recruitment and interviews. Christian Wessels, Head of Roland Berger's Sub Saharan Africa operations also gave the opening speech at the gala banquet on Saturday evening where he spoke about the importance of mobile banking in Africa and Roland Berger's role in developing this industry.

Many of the conference participants enjoyed interacting with Roland Berger representatives and learning about the company. According to Jonathan Kola, a conference attendee from Harvard University, " I had a really good impression of Roland Berger at the conference. It's great to see their international presence especially in Africa and to see that you can work on different projects all over the world."
Roland Berger's presence and role at the conference demonstrated the company's commitment to business in Africa which was well received by the attendees.
